Vinyl fences are used more and more widely, and its maintenance-free, easy-to-install, and diverse types are all reasons why people use it. Although it doesn't need to be painted, people may want to decorate the vinyl lattice fence because it may be pure white or not like it, or it may take a long time to change the style. Can vinyl fences be painted? However, if you are new to buy a fence must be clear, smearing paint may cause its lifespan to shrink. The answer is yes. So how do you do that? I will tell you below.

Spray paint steps:

Step 1 - Buy the right material

Step 2 - Prepare the fence

Step 3 - Cover with Primer

Step 4 - Apply paint

Step 5 - Complete with sealant

Step 1 - Buy the right material

The vinyl mesh fence has a smooth surface and cannot be used with common latex or oily coatings. Therefore, it is necessary to purchase an epoxy based coating adhered to the vinyl. Of course, you also need to make sure your painting tools are suitable for this job. Using the wrong brush or roller can result in uneven application, which can lead to confusing dripping during the finishing process. Check the product description or consult your local DIY store for brushes and rollers that can be used with paint.

Step 2 - Prepare the fence

Your vinyl lattice fence has been used for so long, and there must be a lot of dust and dirt on it. Even if you clean it regularly, you can't stop the dust on it. Cleaning up must be the safest. Wipe clean with a bucket of warm soapy water and a soft cloth and rinse with a hose. Finally, you need to wipe dry with a dry soft cloth, so that the epoxy coating can be successfully adhered.

Step 3 - Cover with Primer

Properly filling the fence will ensure that your topcoat does not crack or blister too early. An external primer designed specifically for vinyl products is both mildew resistant and mildew resistant. Wear latex gloves, fill the horn with a brush, and cover the larger area with a roller. Paint sprayer, if you have one or can buy one, will give you a more uniform finish and cover the same area of the roller in about half of the time. However, if you use a paint sprayer, remember to wear goggles and a dust mask. Finally, let the primer dry before painting.

Step 4 - Apply paint

Apply vinyl fences in the same way as primers. If you use the same paint sprayer, be sure to thoroughly clean and dry it so that the primer and water do not mix with your topcoat. Wrap the brush and roller in a plastic bag instead of cleaning between paints. Allow the coating to dry completely between coatings before applying the sealant.

Step 5 - Complete with sealant

Protect the newly painted fence with a high gloss sealant. Good sealants can protect vinyl from external factors and prevent rapid cracking or fading of coatings. Once your sealant is dry, you will be able to enjoy maintenance-free benefits from vinyl fences for many years to come.

Some people love beauty and want to paint their vinyl lattice fences, but it's important to note that painting may destroy its original structure and its lifespan will be shorter. However, if the four have been used for many years and have already lost color, then smearing may even help. Therefore, be sure to think clearly when applying, and slowly follow the steps, not lazy.
