How to Install Vinyl Fence on Concrete

Vinyl picket fences are used in a variety of situations for the purpose of protection. However, installing vinyl picket fences on concrete is a big problem. The material of concrete is difficult to construct, and the choice of location is particularly important. Here's how to install a picket vinyl fence on concrete.

Mark the location

Once you have determined the property line and legal setback, mark out the location of the vinyl picket fencing. Mark the locations of the corner post holes with spray paint. Mark the locations of the remaining line posts, keeping the distance between the posts evenly spaced at approximately 8’. Though it costs more at the outset, vinyl privacy fencing pays for itself because it lasts longer and requires almost no maintenance. Concrete that holds the posts needs time to harden before the installation can be finished. Plan the location of the fence carefully, and you'll avoid costly mistakes that might be difficult to undo.

Bore a hole

Generally, concrete core machine or other drilling machine can be selected.

The concrete core drilling machine can also drill and core other non-metallic brittle materials such as refractory materials, ceramics, glass and rock. The machine has a maximum drilling diameter of Φ150mm, and other types of drills such as ¢50 /¢100 mm can be selected. The maximum drilling depth is 400mm. Single-phase motor / voltage 220V; power is 2.2KW-2.5KW. However, sufficient water cooling must be maintained throughout the drilling process. Generally, certain protective measures can be taken to avoid or reduce pollution and damage to the renovated house.

Other drilling methods: holes with a hole diameter of 1cm--5cm can directly impact the hammer/drill hole; holes larger than Φ10cm----Φ25cm are drilled in series according to the hole diameter. First make a small hole in the hole. Ream the hole with a special hole opener. The drilling method uses a dry operation, so dust is generated during construction.

Assemble vinyl fence

You are now ready to get your vinyl picket fence assembled. You will need to make sure that your picket vinyl fence post at the end is going to be flush against the wall of concrete that you are mounting it to. It is a good idea for you to go ahead and get treated 2 x 4 boards fit and cut to go along the inside bottom of your vinyl fence post. Make sure that you measure carefully and then cut the boards with your table saw.

Once you have the 2 x 4s in place, you will now need to get your post attached to the concrete wall that is adjacent to it. You will attach it by inserting a little metal flat bracket. You will insert it into the slots that are precut that are on your fence rails along the end of the post. Screw through your brackets. You will screw in through the vinyl and make it flush with your concrete wall. Your post is going to have to be as shim and as level as possible.

The cement slurry is stirred into a thicker consistency. It is as thick as possible and can still be poured out easily. Don't use it thin. Add cement or water until you get it. Fill all four holes and insert the vinyl picket fence immediately. The cement solidifies at a warm temperature within 10 minutes. You have to work quickly or you will have to re-drill holes.

Slide the column through the fence immediately so you can straighten the vinyl picket fencing and adjust the fence to get the right fit. After the hydraulic cement has hardened, the next post spacing is measured.

Next install your rails. You must block the bottom of the vinyl picket fencing so that concrete does not flow into them. Allowing concrete to enter any track may eventually cause the rail to hang down from the weight. You will fill the concrete mixed sand, gravel and cement to the previously specified height. Do not use expensive cement to fill the column, although you can pour a few inches at the bottom just to keep the post in place. If this is the case, you will have to block the bottom pillar to prevent it from pouring out. Use an electrician or plumber's putty stopper, roll it up, wrap the bottom of the column and concrete mat, and fill the crack. If something leaks out, it's no big deal, you can clean it up later.

After the parts are assembled, the columns are filled with concrete. Use bagged premixes in 60 or 80 lb. bags. Anything can be done, like Sacre. Fill the post to a point below the routing hole as discussed earlier. After installation, the water will enter the passage hole from the rain. You want the concrete to be high enough so that the water does not meet in the column. If you fail on this issue, you can later drill a drain hole in the vinyl in an inconspicuous place and, if necessary, allow the water to drain. These small pools may be a good nest for mosquitoes, which may cause frost damage to the columns in the winter.

It is very difficult to install the vinyl picket fence on the concrete, but in this order, carefully select the installation location step by step, and then carefully select the hole and punch. The fence thus installed is not only beautiful, but also will last longer.
