Whether you're replacing or removing your vinyl picket fencing or you just need it out of your way temporarily, you will need to know how to take it apart. Disassembling is a simple process that you can do yourself. But this is a time consuming Process, you need to follow the steps step by step.

  • Fence uses notches

  • Pull out the railing

Pay attention to the connect way

The first step in removing the fence is to determine what type of connection your vinyl picket fence is. Determine if your picket vinyl fence is secured to the fence post by a notch or screw. Then look at your vinyl picket fencing post and check how the rails of the fence are connected. You will see the screws and brackets that hold the fence rails, or the ends of the rails will be inside the pillars.

Be sure to carefully analyze the way the fence is connected before starting the next steps. Subsequent disassembly according to the way the fence is connected.

Fence uses screws and brackets

It is important to note that if your vinyl picket fencing uses screws and brackets, you will need to use a screwdriver to remove the bracket from both ends of each rail. Unscrew the screws from all brackets and rails and slide the support panel out of the struts.

When using a screwdriver to disassemble the fence, be sure to pay attention to safety. If the blade of the screwdriver is damaged or dull, it should be ground at any time. When grinding with a grinding wheel, it should be cooled with water. If the blade cannot be repaired, if the blade is damaged seriously, the handle and the handle are cracked or damaged, it should be scrapped.

Then use the appropriate screwdriver according to the groove width and groove shape of the screw head that is screwed or loosened on the fence. You cannot use a small screwdriver to screw the larger screw. A suitable screwdriver can help you remove the screws better.

Fence uses notches

If your picket vinyl fence uses notches, pull on the top rail of the fence first. Tug on the rail to force the notches out of the route of the post. Apply pressure to post as you pull on the rail and try to force it out of the route. If you cannot pull the rail out of the post, use a rubber mallet to knock it free. Pull on the rail and tap on the post with the mallet until it frees. Remove the bottom rail of the vinyl picket fence, following the same process.

Slide the pickets out of the rails of your freed fence panel. Stack the panels and rails on a few scrap pieces of wood to keep the vinyl from scratching.

Pull out the railing

Use a digging machine to dig the side of the vinyl picket fencing post. The fence post is usually two to three feet above the ground and digs to the bottom of the post you arrive at. Pull the column out of the ground and stack it with pillars and rails.

When using the boring machine, be sure to wear it safely and then perform the standard operation as specified. If you are in danger, be sure to press the emergency stop button in time. Do not wear ornaments, jewelry or draped hair.

It's not difficult to remove the picket vinyl fence, right? Although it can be time consuming, when you feel that it is time to change the fence or for other reasons you need to remove the fence, you can remove the vinyl picket fence yourself.
