Before starting

1. Check if a license is required in your area.

2. Contact your local utility company to find any underground facilities.

3. Certain boundaries of your property.

4. Read the instructions below

Detect hilly or sloping terrain: If you are going uphill or downhill, you can cut the tracks to 8 feet so they allow height changes. In extreme cases, you may need to "open" the wiring holes. In all cases, the smoother the transition, the better it looks, so if the land suddenly transitions from a plane to a slope, you may want to distribute the transition over several fenced areas for a professional appearance installation.

1. Draw a work layout and calculate the corners you need, the number of posts and "T" posts.

2. Use a rope and peg to create a fence line that allows 2 1/2 inches from the string to the center of the column. Mark "X" with 100 feet of tape and paint, each of which will be drilled. Remember that the column is set at 8 feet in the center and the rail is 16 feet long. Therefore, if you are turning, you may need to cut the rail into a circular area that is 8 feet long.

3. Drill a 30-inch deep hole with each "X" electric auger and then clean the hole with a handle hole digger.

4. Place the column in the hole and lay a 1-80 lb. premixed quikcrete bag in each hole (if your soil is very much like beach sand, you should use 2-80 lbs per hole.) I know some One might want to save on the cost of concrete by using dirt, but why install a life fence on a temporary basis?

5. Pour a few quarts of water into the hole with a column, pour the quikcrete bag into the hole, and then put a few quarts of water on it. Allow it to settle for a few minutes and then backfill the holes with soil. Check the plumbness of the column during backfilling. If you need to adjust the column near the string, always use the foot at the bottom of the column. Do not push or pull the top of the top.

6. After installing a few posts, you need to check the top of the post to make sure they are set to the correct depth. If your terrain is irregular, it's important to remember that all transitions should be gradual and flowing to create a professional look. Therefore, it's best to set up reference posts first, then gradually adjust them.

The recommended reference position height is:

2 tracks: 30 inches on the ground and 38 inches on the ground.

3 Railway: 30 inches on the ground and 54 inches on the ground.

4 tracks: 36 inches above ground and 60 inches above ground.

If the column is too high, use a hammer and a piece of wood to knock it deeper. If it's too low, just pull it to the correct height and put a little bit of wet cement on the column itself to fill the small space below the column you created. (If you are installing a doorpost, you may want to use a larger doorpost depending on your soil, foundation and more specific concrete.)

Mounting rails: 7. 16 feet of rails pass through each of the other positions. To form a sturdy fence, it is important to "weave" the fence as follows: For 3 fences, cut 8 foot tracks with four notches at each end and insert them into the column as a second track. For the 4 rail fence, the same as the bottom rail. Then run the remaining 16 foot rails until the end of the run. It is best to cure the cement for 24 hours before setting the rails. If you terminate at the end of each track of the doorpost duct tape before inserting the post. Wipe off excess cement and glue with PVC cement.

8. Insert 2 lengths of #4 steel bars into each door post and fill with wet concrete. Before filling, make sure all door hardware is installed on the column. Wait 24 to 48 hours for the cement to solidify before hanging the door. Please click here for detailed door installation instructions.
